This Sunday, Pastor Dale will be preaching that the cross was an offense in the first century and it continues to be an offense in the twenty-first century. It is a picture of shame, suffering, and death – and even more offensively, our sin. And so, we often try to remove the offense like Peter did in Matthew 16. But God has made it clear that he will save and redeem us in only one place – the cross. So, we remove it at our peril.
