What does it mean to be 'blessed'? The world definitely has an opinion on this, and it's easy for us as followers of Christ to start buying the ideas that the world is selling. This Sunday, come hear how Psalm 84 describes those who are genuinely blessed, and let us also 'sing for joy to the living God'.

If God Is For Us – Psalm 56
As David was being hunted by King Saul, he found himself in a country and a culture that didn't appreciate his presence. In fact, he felt like he was under a constant attack. In an increasingly post-Christian culture, followers of Christ may feel that their message and their very presence are not welcome - and fear can often follow. Join us as we look at Psalm 56 and hear how David overcame his fear by trusting in God and His Word.
The King of Glory – Psalm 24
This week we look at another Psalm of David. And through this Psalm, David asks the all important question, "Who can stand in the presence of a Holy God?". However, the initial answer that David gives is not necessarily good news. Come hear how people like you and me - people with unclean hands and impure hearts - can ascend the holy hill and stand in his holy place.
Humble Confidence – Psalm 85
We continue our Summer in the Psalms series with Psalm 85. God has established a covenant relationship with his people through his gracious saving acts of love and faithfulness. A covenant relationship with God requires both parties holding up their end, but we so often fail to keep our end of the bargain. We find ourselves saved by God’s grace but so often feel in need of that grace again and again. Salvation is dependent on God’s unilateral action, through Christ’s faithfulness and righteousness. It is this Gospel truth that we must be constantly reminded of, so that we might know the comfort of God’s Gospel promise, even when we don’t feel it.
Joy Comes with the Morning – Psalm 30
This week, as we dig into Psalm 30, we hear David lament about his pride and self-reliance that led to great trouble for him and his people. However, David found hope and joy by turning back to the great mercy of God. We too will have times of struggling in the darkness, but thankfully we have the same promise that joy comes in the morning.
Our Help in Times of Fear – Psalm 124
Psalm 124 is another Song of Ascent. As we come to the house of the Lord, we are to reflect on the great and mighty deeds the Lord has done for us, his people. Things only God could have done. If God had not acted on our behalf, then we would surely have perished. God's faithfulness in the past gives us comfort and hope for the future. The LORD is our help in times of fear.
From the Depths to the Heights – Psalm 130
This week, as we begin our "Summer in the Psalms", we look at Psalm 130. In this majestic Song of Ascent, we hear the author cry out for mercy from the depths of his sin and ultimately find forgiveness in the God of Israel. Come hear the good news that our hope and forgiveness in Christ is just as sure as the rising of the sun each morning.
That You May Know – 1 John 5:13-21
This week, as we get to the end of John's first epistle, he gives the reason why he wrote the letter. John wrote these things so that we can have assurance before God. He wrote them so that we can have confidence in this life and the next. And he wrote them so that we can know the truth - the One who is the Truth. Join us this Sunday as we finish the series "Life. Light. Love."
God’s Love Language – 1 John 5:1-12
The popular and promoted view of our culture is that there are many ways to God. Many people boldly declare that all roads lead to heaven. However, what does God actually declare in His Word? In 1 John chapter 5 this week we hear clear testimony as to how one gains eternal life and a restored relationship with God. Come and join us as we hear the testimony concerning the Son
God Is Love – 1 John 4:1-21
Christians are called to both a true confession of faith, that Jesus is God who came in the flesh, and to love. We need not fear God's judgment because God is love. God demonstrated his love by sending his Son into the world, so that by his atoning death our sins might be forgiven and that we might have life. Faith then is both in what we confess and in what we do, and it is only possible because of what Christ has said and what Christ has done.
